Qualcomm sudah resmi memperkenalkan Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Seperti biasa Samsung akan siap memakai teknologi terbaru ini. Tapi yang menarik chipset yang nanti akan disemakan di Galaxy S23 Ultra akan sedikit berbeda dibanding yang sudah diperkenalkan. Lebih tepatnya di sektor clockspeed yang lebih kencang.
Samsung sudah bulat untuk meninggalkan chipset Exynos untuk varian Galaxy S. Qualcomm sebagai partner Samsung juga sudah mengkonfirmasi bahwa seluruh varian Galaxy S kedepannya akan memakai Snapdragon, yang biasanya hanya sebatas pasar Amerika dan China saja. Tapi tentu Qualcomm akan memberikan hal berbeda di Snadpragon 8 Gen 2 yang nanti disematkan di ponsel terbaru Samsung.
Dikutip melalui Ice Universe, Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra sudah menunjukan tajinya melalui skor Geekbench. Memiliki skor single core 1.504 dan multicore 4.580. Tentu saja sudah menjalankan Android 13 terbaru dengan balutan OneUI 5.1.
Yang berbeda adalah hadir Cortex-X3 Kyro Prime Core dengan clockspeed 3,36 GHz. Ini lumayan meningkat dibanding Snapdagon 8 Gen 2 biasa, yaitu 3,2 GHz. Tapi peningkatan ini tidak membuat chipset ini menjadi versi “plus” dari chipset terbaru Qualcomm. Jadi secara teori, Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra akan mampu lebih kencang untuk menjalankan kerjaan yang berat.
Belum ada konfirmasi apakah akan hanya hadir untuk varian Ultra saja atau untuk lainnya. Yang pasti Samsung juga nanti akan menggunakan sensor lensa kamera tebrarunya, yaitu dengan resolusi 200MP.
