Selain masalah hardware, Apple bisa meningkatkan performa dan pengalamannya karena iPadOS. Sebuah sistem operasi yang dirancang khusus untuk tablet. Dengan iPadOS ini juga sudah ada beberapa aplikasi dan game kelas desktop yang memang sudah bisa digunakan di iPadOS.
PERTANYAANNYA : APAKAH IPAD BISA MENGGANTIKAN POSISI LAPTOP?
Jawabannya tentu TIDAK.
Walaupun iPad sudah lebih kencang dibanding beberapa laptop, bukan berarti iPad bisa menggantikan sepenuhnya laptop. Termasuk iPad Pro 2021 mendatang. Memang iPad saat ini sudah dilengkapi aksesoris pelengkap seperti keyboard, mouse, atau Apple pencil, tapi tetap tidak bisa menggantikan laptop.
Laptop Windows atau MacOS sudah jauh lebih “berumur” dibanding iPad. Ekosistem Windows dan MacOS sudah dipercaya oleh berbagai kalangan termasuk para developer aplikasi dan game. Sehingga dukungan untuk laptop sangat tinggi dan akan terus berkembang.
Memang iPAd saat ini sudah mendapatkan beberapa developer yang berminat untuk membuat aplikasi atau game kelas desktop. Tapi Apple “tidak akan membiarkan” terlalu luas. Apple tetap memiliki MacOS. Sebuah pesaing kuat Windows yang banyak digunakan oleh setiap kalangan. Jika iPad dibuat serius untuk menggantikan laptop, posisi MacBook di Apple akan terancam. Karena iPad lebih ringkas dan lebih simple untuk digunakan.
iPad dibuat hanya untuk orang yang membutuhkan mobilitas tinggi dibanding pengguna laptop. Kecepatan yang sudah menyamai laptop, digunakan untuk memaksimalkan performa dan ekosistem yang ada. Bukan untuk mengalahkan atau menggantikan posisi laptop.
Jadi jika teman-teman Fixme sangat membutuhkan PC portable, tetap laptop adalah pilihan utama. Laptop bisa memaksimalkan pekerjaan lebih berat dengan berbagai dukungan para developer hardware dan software yang ada.
